Pera-Pina Smoothie for Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana

Pineapple, Rice Milk and Vanilla

We made this smoothie to promote the new Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana Hotels at Meredith and Hearst Corporate Offices

Pera Pina Smoothie

  • 1 quart water

  • 1 medium pineapple

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 3 tablespoons rice flour

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method:

Slice away the skin and core of the pineapple. Cut it into chunks and freeze pineapple chunks. In a pot bring water, salt and sugar to a boil. Whisk in the rice flour and simmer (gentle boil) for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Chill this mixture. Blend the frozen pineapple with the vanilla rice milk for the smoothie.
